I have a 2002 Hunter 410 with a Raymarine Pathfinder network, including wind, depth, knotmeter, gps, radar, chartplotter and autohelm. I would like to tie in my pc to the network. I purchased the Navigator 3 software, and had the company servicing the equipment install the serial plug that accompanied the software. Unfortunately, I cannot get the PC and the network to communicate. I have tried all of the various settings available, and while the PC will connect to the NT C-Map reader, it will not communicate with the onboard system. Suggestions to trouble shoot this would be appreciated

Might not hace COM connected properly

We will assume that all the cabling was done properly? The first thing to do is to make sure that the Instrument inputs and outputs are turned on in the software. It could be in Playback, Simulator or Instrument mode. Click on FILE|Setup and then the Instrument Tab. Make sure that you have Instrument Input selected and that you have your interface selected under the correct COM port choice. This will automatically turn on all the possible data flow. Also, make sure that you do not have a Palm Pilot software running on the PC. This will occupy all the COM ports and prevent them from talking with your instruments. I would suggest calling Raymarine at 800 539 5539 if you have any more problems. It would be very helpful if you could call from the boat with a multimeter in hand.
