My Mac 26S ('91) needs a main sail cover, my first mate is a talent seamstress, and I have found online Marine canvass (Sunbrella ) dealers -- all we need is a fabric pattern! Can anyone tell me how the main sail cover is designed? We would greatly appreciate either general guidelines, a picture of one laid out, or an actual pattern. We can just wing it on design and put something together, but I figured some guidance would get us a better design, and sooner. We need a jib cover, too, so advice on that is welcome. However, that one is much simpler (we are currently stuffing the jib into what I think is the rudder cover). We lake/trailer sail mostly, keeping the mast up. With sail covers, it would make the whole experience less work and more fun -- which means sailing more often! Thanks. -Rusty
