Little Late
Sorry that I didn't answer sooner, first time I've had a chance to check the site. We love the boat!! Of course, since this is our first boat, we don't have much to compare it to, besides rentals. We have had it out for three weekends now, first day was breezy, and our orientation to the boat, it handled very well. The next two days were extra calm, but she seemed to move well towards the wind. Last weekend, we had a stronger breeze and we were beam reaching at 6 - 6.5 knots, and again very responsive to the slightest touch. Downwind, it doesn't seem as responsive, but we will keep trying different sail tricks to see what works. I guess you might have noticed from the picture that we went with the roller main, and we are quite happy with it. We aren't sailing purists and are just looking for the relaxation, not racing. We had a few minor problems after commissioning: Fuel gauge didn't work, Caulking in head was away from the bulkhead in a few places, Cockpit console had a gouge in the fiberglass by the compass, They had drilled holes to drain water from the coaming wells, and needed to be finished better. Of course, they took care of all of these things, and it was really less painful than we imagined. Let us know what you think when your ship comes in!!
