Passageway Slider

My passageway slider is hard to move unless it gets wet and is lubricated. Has anyone found a way to make this slide easier? Seems like on my last boat there was some felt for it to slide on. Mine now has nothing.

I hear some folks use the fuzzy (loop) side of a length of sticky backed velcro.

I plan to do it to stop the godawful "screech" I get sometimes.....

Uhmw tape - also called slippery tape would likely work without altering the clearances.

Some fixes may actually make it too slippery and cause it to slide back and forth, back and forth, repeat as desired. I worry that a Teflon spray like used on saw beds may make you regret over solving.
