I recently brought my boat from Miami to Toronto. On the Miami to New York leg you cannot get a decent sleep in moderate to rough conditions. Has anyone installed lee boards or come up with a solution for this?

getting a decent sleep in moderate to rough conditions can be interesting no mater how you're rigged. that said, Chris Oldham came up with a lee lcoth system for his P42 and 450, as well. ty his site at www.passagemaking.com.

rough passages

We don't even try to use the aft or forward cabins during a rough passage. The off-watch person will take the leeward settee and make do with a pillow and a blanket. As a general rule, on sailboats the closer you are to the keel the more comfortable the motion. In my pre-hunter days I've gone so far as to throw a few cushions down on the sole and sleep there, since I knew I was going to end up down there anyway after rolling out of the pilot berth.
