Has anyone replaced this tank? it looks as though it cannot be removed without complete disassembly of the forward bunk, which is probably glued and screwed together.

Thank you!

I'm not sure about the 45, but I'm getting ready to replace the forward water tank on our 42 Passage. It is going to be a BIG job. The tank blue print I got thru Hunter gave me the size for the builder to work from. And for me to measure the boat to get the old tank out and the new one in.
I had to have the tank size changed so I can get it in thru the door. The tank now is 19" tall and the door without the frame is only 17 1/2" wide. So I had to have the tank cut down to get it in the cabin. I don't get the tank till after April 20 so I have some time to get the old one out.
I will need to take the aft end of the v-berth out and cut out the bulkhead that holds in the stern of the tank. Then I can slide the tank aft to remove it. But then I will need to cut the tank apart to get it out of the boat.

Hi all! I will post pictures and fill you all in when I get started sometime around the 20th of April. That is when the new tank is to be built.

Hi Paul, not really sure, they can be used for either purpose, but maybe that particular shape is the water tank, I'll look into it.
