Here's a photo of the SBO forumites at the SOS Blue Lips cruise party. From left to right are, RON20324, myself, some fellow whose name I didn't get, and JIMM.

It was a great party and a great bunch of people, several of whom I hope to start seeing here on SBO.

I'm glad Roger posted that picture. He was well received at the Singles on Sailboats (.org) "Blue Lips" (for the cold) cruise and dinner in Galesville. In our usual manner, we plied him with food and wine, and i think he talked with just about all of our group. Tough and salty as he is, he passed on taking a slip and he grabbed a mooring- and that put him next to the generator you see in another post. I heard it running when I returned to my boat after 0200, and I thought it was his.

For those who don't want JIMM (his picture) and I in the picture before they frame it, here is Roger with Strider in the background. Behind his back he is holding an iron-on page I made for him (so he can put it on the shirt of his choosing) with his famous qwip :

"I'm really a powerboater, I just have a boat with sails so I can hang around with a nicer class of people."

It was great having you, Roger.

Ron-
Nice pic of all of you, even the guy in the hat. It sounds like it was a great party and I am sorry I missed it. But I hate to miss a party you know.

Roger, I've been following you track from St. Michaels to Solomons and noticed that you took a detour toward Taylors Island. Was that intentional? That area is my normal sailing ground (I have a slip almost due west in Flag Harbor). When my wife and I went where you just were, all we found was shallow water full of crab pots! I'll be following your progress into Solomons. There are several good eating places and a West Marine if you need anything.

Tell her to look me up. The place is big enough that it could take me several days to find her. I'm the last boat in the harbor, way down on Waterman's Wharf next to the UMD Research Fleet Facility. I'll be here for 2-3 days with time on my hands waiting for mail and the end of the rain coming Thursday.

If you need a ride anywhere local (re-stock groceries, etc.) let me know. I can meet you and provide transportation.

Ron20324.. here is another shot of Roger .. He was kind enough to take Susan and I out for a great day sail on Strider.. A most gracious host, even though he'd been up most of the night searching for some lost kayakers..
