I recently purchased a 95 26S Mac that is pretty much a stock boat. Does anyone know where I can purchase a stern rail for it, or know how I can fashion some side rails/cables for the stern. I've also read about replacing the inadequate rudder, I would rather purchase one than build it, does anyone know where I can get a rudder?Any help would be appreciated.

Try Havencraft of New England at http://www.macgregor-yachts.com/macven.htmlThey have the stern and bow rails as well as many other Mac parts.I do not know of any one producing a modified rudder. I think the rudder is more of a problem with the 26D, so far I have been pleased with my 93 26Mac's response to the rudder. we have really enjoyed this boat, moved up from a Mac 22 and are glad we did.
