Has anyone here had to use laboarde products for their yanmar? If so did they get you the right parts?down here on the Gulf I either go to a smaller shop where their mark up probably is more or go mail order through laboarde products which the parts come out of atlanta.

I have used them a lot over the last 25 years and always have been happy. I have used their mail order, ship to house, but more often I just drive there since it is about 15 miles from my slip.. Your engine (2QM 20, I guess?) really needs to have the serial number and full description because there were a few variants.. I used to help a friend maintain his '78 H-33 engine .. we had a fine relationship with the Laborde guys.

Yes, I have used them for over 15 years. They are reliable and I have never had a problem with any of my orders.
Note that they are a regional yanmar distributor. Last time I called to place an order, they encouraged me to use a local parts supplier (that they do business with). They gave me the address/contact information for the local supplier. I found it a bit unusual that the local supplier's prices were about 5% LESS than Labourde's prices. Either way, the parts will have to be ordered and it usually takes a week for delivery via UPS.

hello just bought a cherubini 30 made in 79. would love any info on the best places to get parts for my yanmar and the sailboat itself
Lee go to your local marina parts dealer and they can guide you.or call laboarde good people and they can guide you to a local dealer.plenty of parts here for the hunters or defender .com
I was at Laborde's last week. They told me they are not allowed to sell to the general public anymore as they are now a wholesale distributor. I was getting them to check out a slightly used 3JH4E that I had just purchased so they were willing to sell me a control panel since my motor was in their shop.
I called laboarde for some yanmar parts and they had no problem with shipping them to me.instead I went to a local marine parts just 5 mins from our boat and they ordered the parts had them in 5 days.the people that run the local shop are super,will be doing business with them for a long time.
o. k. heck had a hard time finding a repair manual for it! Called a local marina and got it. This is my first sailboat so am new to it been on plenty of cabin cruisers, totally different world!!
I am refitting a 1980 hunter 33.so I am learning as I go but the wealth of info on this forum is great.everyone here will be glad to help.
