Parts for Hood System III Roller Furler

I've got a 1983 Pearson 303 with a Hood System 3 roller furler. In the upper swivel, the plastic parts that grab onto the extrusion have broken. Does anyone know if parts are still available? Supplier?

I had a problem with my Hood Furler a year ago. The split bushing above the prefeed broke right where the extrusion slotted in. I contacted the folks at Pompanette http://www.pompanette.com/ and they were able to get me a replacement/upgrade kit for only a couple of boat units. Replaced the broken parts and it all works great now.

Princess, is this what you are talking about? The split connectors? How much is a boat unit?
I was told by the folks at Reefer that you can use half of the connectors to bridge the gap and connect the foils. The recommended a set screw or rivet to hold in it place.
I am considering just welding two foils together to eliminate the connectors that are broken.

Very similar I just called mine a split bushing is all. I think the rivet or set screw would work best-I don't know about welding the extrusions together. I don't think it would have worked on my set up.
For those of you wondering a "Boat Unit" is a $100. When referring to boat expenditures it is easier to talk in terms of boat units rather than dollars. Saying something like "Gee, my new bottom job only cost me eight boat units" feels a lot better than saying "I just spent another $800 on the boat"-don't you think? I am also attaching a photo to show you what my break looked like. I don't know if it helps since it does not show a close up of the split fitting.
