Chrysler Pirateer 15 Detroit
Hello,
I am looking to do two things to my Pirateer, I am brand new to sailing, so if anyone could help with either of the following, I would greatly appreciate it!

A.) The mastplate to my boat has come loose, and the screws will not stay put in the fiberglass (holes are too big). I could use bigger screws, but would like to look into using spacers if possible, or perhaps screwing a larger plate on, to hold the screws in. Any ideas?

B.) The ID Plate at the back of the boat has been removed. I believe it has a small symbol (waves?), and then the Pirateer logo next to it. I would like to replace this part, or replicate it. If anyone knows where I can purchase vintage ID plates, or can take a picture of theirs so that I can remold it, that would be great!

Thank you in advance for your time!

This website has the manual for your boat as well as a bunch of other related info that may be helpful: http://chryslersailing.lizards.net/

Regarding the mast step plate, the best way to secure that plate would be to fill the existing holes in the fiberglass with fiberglass patches and re-drill new screw holes. Better still would be to use a backing plate under the deck and use nuts, washers and locking bolts to secure the whole affair. Screws will eventually work loose in fiberglass as you have no doubt found out.

I can't help you with the ID plate. Check the 2nd link above carefully as it may contain some info.

Good luck.
