I've sent emails, called (three times to Australia at about $15 a try), left voice mails and even sent faxes to The Australian Yacht Winch Company. They're the outfit that is supposed to have purchased the Barient winch specs (Barient has been out of business for several years) and reportedly makes repair parts. You see, I really need a black plastic cap assembly (the top part of the top and bottom assembly that creates the circular "slot" that my main halyard feeds thru after going thru the self tailer) to replace a broken part on one of the four Barient 22-39 winches that I have on my Hunter Vision 32. This is a minor part but without it the winch works poorly and damages the halyard. (The halyard binds on the sharp edges of the broken top cap.)Does anybody know of another source of new, used or custom built Barient or equivalent winch parts? (I've tried all the used nautical parts suppliers I could find via internet searches.)Has anyone converted from manual to electric and have some extra spare parts?Rodger Beard
