Has anyone had problems with their Fischer Panda 4200 Plus generator. I have had continuous problems since I bought it. It is not dependable. In short, it dies w/o indication after 30min-2hours of use (Less than 50% load). I can start it up immediately again but it dies in 5-10min. Please help a hot sweaty Texan so I can have my A/C back!

Many Problems With Panda Generator

I have a Panda 4200. I have had it for 4 years and have had many problems including loosing the keeper on a valve stem (ended up requiring a new head etc, a failed solonoid valve (fuel) and shutdown problems associated with Florida heat and generator lube oil. Our supplier has recommended using non multigrade oil, specifically 40 W viscosity. It is also very important to change the oil very frequently. I change it every 75 hours. This has prevented reoccurance of the shutdown problems which were very similar to what you describe. Mike Bushr mjbusher@aol.com
