Confused by owners manual as to the level and exactly where to add 30wt. oil to transmission.
I unscrewed the sq. transmission nut atop the transmission and checked the oil level...it was bone dry!!! The manual says something about the clutch and oil level being very important and that I should add oil to an inch from the drive shaft. That seems like an inordinate amount of guess work.
Would someone please inform me as to where the proper fill nut is, to which level I should fill it and any other sort of information I should know about the care of the Palmer 60 transmission.
I am pretty good at keeping my '74 BMW going.
