Hi all. ABout ready to paint my O23. I know rolling should be done one way (up and down or side to side), and tipping the oppiste way. Which is which. Any other advise would be greatly appreciated!
Chris- I just finished painting my hull last week. Here are a few tips that Ill pass on to you1. Have another person do the roll out2. Use 3'-4' Jen brand foam brushes3. Use West System 7' foam rollers4. Do a test coat on the transom for the proper thinning requirements5. Have a set of tweezers handy6. Wipe down the boat with 2027. Always be thinking ahead8. Be prepared to see your imperfections with the hull afterwards. If there bad, let it dry and sand out the issues. Sand out the hull with 320 between coats.Any questions, give me a call 920.203.1876. Thanks for the input. Will probably have more questions as next Sunday (paint day) aproaches. I supposed it is like any painting project and I should start high, and work my way down, meaning do the hull first, let dry, do the water line next, let dry and then do the bottom paint.
