I'm thinking of repainting my 22ft Laguna Wind rose. I was wondering how many quarts of paint and primer i need?

I bought one gallon of bottom paint, one gallon of topsides and two quarts of primer for my Lancer 25. I still have about a quart of both gallons left. Be sure to take your time and mind the weather. If there has been paint on the boat before, and you don't know what it is, stick with single part. It's cheaper and, for the most part, doesn't have the compatibility issues of 2-part poly. I used EasyPoxy and I'm pleased as punch with it. I would spray if I were to do it again though. Hind sight is 20-20.

Hiee,
I have totally repainted my boat which is a shade under 22' actually about 21' 10'' LOA. I used the better part of a gallon of Pettit primer from the waterline up and did not do the cockpit. I bought 4 quarts of Brightside and returned one of them and still have enough left of the third to do a forth coat. I used Pettit Easypoxy for the cabin and decks. I still have a bit less then half a gallon of that to finish off the cockpit and perhaps inside the cabin.

I would NOT recomment the foam roller for either of the polyurathanes as it seemed to leave many many tiny bubbles much more so then the close knap roller ie 1/4''. Tipping was relatively easy although I did end up with a matte finish which I can personally live with.

Happy sailing,
Brina

I think I followed the other posters in painting my boat.
When I started prepping it wasn't too hot down here in FL but was by the time I started painting. I'll never paint in heat or wind again. The paint dries before it has a chance to flow and smooth out.
Thin the paint a lot as multiple thin coats work best.

super marine resign based paint is the best product I have ever used. Used high gloss, sponge type roller, and sealer brush to pin. It looks like a $3000 spray job.
