Has anyone painted the hull other than with " boat " paint ( interlux etc.) This type of paint is extremely thick and tends to dry so quickly. It is great on the deck but I have had trouble on the topsides, with runs and waves. I was thinking of using a good exterior oil paint that spreads easily. Repainting every 3rd year or so is not a real problem so..... what are your thoughts? Russ

Personally, I would stick with the Interlux...it's what I used on my boat. The secret is to work in small areas at a time. I would recommend going to Interlux's web site and reading their instructions. I got great results on mine using the roller and tip method they describe. The finish is fantastic, and the paint is harder than woodpecker lips!
