No boat name on the transom yet. Will you keep the previous owner's?
I did when I bought my boat. Because it wasn't the name of a personal favorite person ... or something like his/her or street name.
The PO's choice "Wildaire" was just perfect for describing San Francisco Bay's "slot" sailing conditions. So saw no need to change. I like it so much that I am even thinking to order a personalized CA license plate "Wildair" someday when I eventually need to buy a new car... Although that still might be awhile since my 2001 Prius is going strong and still averaging 45mpg!

Keeping the name Monoceros. It is a constellation and means Unicorn. Finding a 37ft. Sailboat this far inland (indiana) was quite a challenge, so she's our star unicorn. We are installing a self steering winvane on the transom that will take up most of that area.
