Hey Everyone,

Good morning sailors! I was at a Bridge of Honor in Galveston for a good friend of mine on Sunday who earned both his Sea Scout Quartermaster and Boy Scout Eagle. While I was socializing with my fellow skippers and racing friends, my best friend since I've known from pre-school, Ryan Frank, showed up and his father, Jonathan Frank was with him. He approached the gift table and put up one of the most beautiful paintings I had ever seen in my entire life; he is truly gifted, and I just wanted to share with all of you how he captures moments by painting the picture.

Wow! I have a photo I snapped at Sebring in the late 70s(?) of the Whittington Bros Porsche 935 twin turbo on the inside straight headed for the hairpin. I will post it for you later. It looks very reminiscent of that porsche.

FINALLY a racing fan on the forums! Hah! I've never been to Sebring myself, but I've watched races at COTA, Nurburgring, Laguna Seca and Spa; next on my bucket list is Monte Carlo!

I took this photo of the Whittington Bros Porsche 935 twin turbo on the inside run down to the hairpin at Sebring. This mid 80’s. Canon AT-1 SLR with a 100-300 Tele-Zoom. This is after the walking bridge, so the car is probably over 100mph here. Interestingly, the Whittington Bros were apparently financing this effort with sales of high octane white powder...

Agreed! Formula 1 is the best auto racing. Also love moto gp, superbike and supercross. Wrenched for a formula mazda team called speed connection for a very short time. Team finances ended the fun. No more speed connection. Now the team manager builds cars for brian johnson( singer for Ac/dc).
