I'm not quite sure of your question...Proper surface preparation and a throrough cleaning of course, a good quality plastic masking tape which can follow curves, and I suggest a foam robber (thin) roller for a perfect finish.
I renewed the non skid on my 37C two years ago. Preperation must be thorough. I used a one part linear poly paint with a flattening agent and added the non skid from the can. I used a 3M fine line tape available in several widths that you can bend around curves and applied the paint with a narrow foam roller.. Look great and works wonderfully. I believe I used all interlux products. Wait for a calm bug free warm day.
I repainted the decks on my H25 last year. Original surface was painted on. I sanded all of it off and started from scratch. Masking off was biggest problem. Use good masking tape. To round off corners I laid tape out diagonally across corners and cut out excess using assorted round objects for different radious. I used the interlus nonskid additive mixed according to manufacturers recommendations. I'm very happy with the result.
