Has anyone out there ever used the Interlux 2 part polyurethane paint Perfection to paint a deck using a roller and brush as they recommend. How did it turn out? They say it can only be sprayed with an air fed respirator so it looks like I am limited to brush and roller. I would like to hear some else's experiences before going ahead with the project. I am just concerned since I am not painting the entire deck but just some repaired areas that the painted areas will look too thick in those areas. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Interlux is cool stuff

I think the interlux is good stuff. My boat is home at my house and im recoreing my side decks and re doing my nonskid and the bottom .I framed a house around the boat and tarped it to keep it dry .I am ready to prime my deck and paint but its been to hot to work so ive taken the summer off .Now im geting ready to put the finish on, I used two part epoxy primer two coats sanding in between.I have finished my anchor locker hatch,It looks good I tryed to roll& tip but it dident work for me .I just rolled the paint on very thin (three coats sanding in between). I think if you blend the primer into the deck, then roll the paint on thin you could blend it .I dulled the finish with a additive from interlux but i think the white i used looks like my gellcoat. Ive had the boat for 8 years and did some work on the deck. We sprayed it with epoxy and it was no big deal we worked out side on a sunny day with no wind and we had masks on and it dident even smell but we where shooting small spots about 20 sf total .The paint drys fast and dident stink up the yard. The color dident match very well and it was hi gloss on old catalina gellcoat but on a hot day in the sun you cant even tell its been worked on.I think the paint holds up real good It was on the boat 5 years and still looks good. I used kiwi grip for nonskid its kewl stuff i hope it holds up. John
