Hi, I recently dragged a 1987 Hunter 23' home to Vermont. I'm now in the process of cleaning her up before a long summer of getting her dirty again.

Wondering what sort of paint I might want to use inside the stow bins under the setee on either side of the cabin. The inner surface of the hull is sorta white but I'd like to clean it up some more. Even after a good scrub they are still a little grubby.

My first thought was something like rustoleum applied with a brush but the local hardware store suggested latex exterior paint. What is the right stuff to use on fiberglass that will be more than a little damp most of the time?

thanks all

Go with your gut

"My first thought was something like rustoleum applied with a brush . "

Winner!

Thats what I use inside lockers, about $8 a quart.

Rustoleum oil based is what I've used. They make a water based paint as well, but I haven't tried that.

If you want something that will really stand up to the conditions. Seems very adhesive. It is not, however, $8.00 a quart. More like $20.
