Paint is going on!

Finally had time to slap on another coat of paint. Now that the weather is cooler, it layed down nicely. But I overthinned it just a little bit so I got some sags. Also, some water that was hiding behind some masking tape dripped down one side in a couple places. One more coat and I'm going to call it quits! If I were starting over from scratch today, I would seriously look into Paint Shop paint and spray it on. Especially with the dark color.

While blue masking tape is ok for some projects, there is a better tape for striking lines. I use 3M 218 Fine Line tape. It costs a little more but provides a much crisper line. After painting, sand the tape at the edge before pulling it off and the line will be perfect.
Store tape in a plastic bag and don't let the roll get damaged on the sides.

I'm using an automotive paint tape for the waterline stripe. I have fine line tape that I'll use when I put the waterline and cove stripes on. The blue tape was only to keep paint off the rubrail area.
