Paint for 216 hull

Hunter 216 Longboat Key
Have had my 216 on a trailer since new, and I just bought a home on a canal. What is the proper way to prep for paint, and what paint to use? The boat will stay in saltwater and be left in. The dock is at the end of a canal so fouling will be heavy. The boat will be raced as well. THX all!

216 bottom paint

check the archives for 216 bottom paint, several brands are listed. One of the worries several of the respondents mentioned was a build up of heat with the darker colors. For the life of me I cant see how a bottom immersed in water can have a heat buildup. Ray T.
