I am looking into replacing the packing on our Hunter 30. I am unsure if this is something I can do in the water and how to go about it. It leaks while sitting. It looks like maybe 6in. of black hose, with two hose clamps. Thank you for any help.

it can be done in the water but I'd suggest you get some help if you've never done it before. There are tons of archives on this site with delails. Hardest part is removing the old packing. Use teflon flax
