Jim, Especially on the 376/380, it is very easy and surprisingly little water gets into the boat. Bob is correct in saying that it really helps to have the tools immediately available and having the new packing precut. I found it useful to cut the edge with a bevel rather than a straight edge. Don't forget to run the engine after repacking and readjusting tension on the packing nut until you have the right amount of dripping (or no dripping if going with teflon).
