Pacific Northwest Rendezvous 2009 Date Set

Apr 28, 2000

The mid-week date worked out well last time so we decided to do it
again. It will make it easier to get reservations for those who tend
to procrastinate but don't wait too long. The Port of Friday Harbor
is very busy during the summer and you will not get a slip without
advance reservations. We intend to be there Tuesday, Wednesday (The
8th) and Thursday.

Friday Harbor WA July 8th. Port of Friday Harbor now taking
reservations. Contact Harbor Master
Ph. 360-378-2688 or FAX 360-378-6114

Free anchorage available

The harbor master will assign adjacent slips if you tell her that you
are with the Vega Rendezvous. We have requested the "Party Barge" be
moored among our boats so we will have a convenient covered location
for our pot-luck and other activities.

More information will be posted on the web site soon.

Chuck,
The party barge sounds like a good idea .... just as long as we're
not too close to "Pumpty Dumpty" LOL ;-)

Pumpty Dumpty is a great service of the Port which is normally moored
far from the transient docks but I will make a special request just to
be sure it's not parked next to the Party Barge during our Pot Luck
party d;^)

I'll check with Tammy at Friday Harbor and if no one has made a
reservation as of yet, we can re-schedule for the last week in July.

Anyone have a problem with that?

Who's going to argue with Gloria when she is wearing those horns? Make
it so Chuck...

Dear Chuck and Laura et al,
With or without "City Zoo", we're looking forward to seeing everyone
at the Pacific Northwest Rendezvous and late July works fine for us.
It wouldn't be the same without Jim and Gloria, plus her braids and
Viking horns!

Glad to hear you made it safely down to Ballard! Their gain is Friday
Harbor's loss!

Best of luck!

O Ja!
My alter-ego, Brunhilda, who, like an Albin Vega is small, but very
mighty, would like to greatly thank Chuck for all his efforts and
everyone who tried to accomodate the Wren at this years rendezvous.

It is that Viking spirit, in honor of Neptune/Aegir (god of the sea),
Njord (god of the wind) joining Odin and Thor that keeps us coming
year after year.

Vegatarians are special people with special boats. We share in our
sense of adventure, skill and awe of the sail. And we have alot of
fun doing it.

Thanks again, your efforts are greatly appreciated. July 24th is
perfect for us.

Gloria & Jim

Hi Chuck, The new date works for Howard and I, even though we have our Vega on the market and are currently rescuing a Mercator 30. I'll send you the particulars on the Vega soon so it can be listed on on the Website, if that's OK.

Thanks,
Sheila

Thanks Peter!! Our Vega is neat and tidy and has always been a good boat.. The Mercator is in a complete state of decline, so some days we ask ourselves if we've totally lost our minds, but we keep plugging away at it.
