Hello all, Just wondering where people have thier wind/depth/speed/gps displays located. Mine are on the steering gaurd, however it cuts down of vission. Was thinking about the cabin top bulk-head or other options to move them. Thanks Greg P36-2

Greg, I replaced my wheel guard with a tall version and mounted the depth/speed, autopilot, and wind in a Navpod on the guard. My pedestal has side extensions and the GPS chartplotter is mounted on one of those. Disagree about loss of vision, I have no problem. On our previous boat, a P303, the instruments were mounted on the bulkhead. More than on one occasion someone sitting in the cockpit would block the view of the instrument. Sorry no pic but will take one next time I go to boat. Bill

Excellent...thanks. My pedestal does not have the "wing". Currently everything is mounted in Navpods on the guard and it blocks my view of the galley. I have a bank with the speed and depth of similar size to yours, however then I have a LARGE square Navpod for the GPS. I think it is important to have unobstructed views while at the helm. On my old boat, I had the "wing" and had my GPS mounted similar to you. Never figured out what to do on the other side though. Deck is in the final stages. The deck is being preped for painting and then the non skid will go down with one more painting on top to blend in all in. I am getting real impatient to say the least, however it is the first year of ownership and I have done a ton of work on her. She will be in eventually. How has the sailing been this year so far for you? Greg

Greg, While Sea Dragon is not a 36-2 instead it is a 367, I did document the reconfiguration of the instruments on board Sea Dragon over the last two seasons. You may find the information useful. Go to www.sailingseadragon.com then click on "Projects" and you will find information on how we reconfigured Sea Dragon's instruments and other 365/367 projects. Good luck
