When I bought my P 26 off a marina it had been abandonned and signed over to the yard in lieu of storage fees. SOmewhere along the way the handle that fits in the roller reefing socket must have been "misplaced". ANy idea where to get a new one or how to rig up a replacement? Maybe a square drive on a socked wrench? I think this is the star shaped socket under the gooseneck of the boom-correct? Also I would appreciate thoughts on running the halyards back to the cockpit. Since the halyards are on opposite sides of the mast, it would require more angles to get the jib halyard over to the same side as the main but in the end it would be a neater/cleaner setup it seems. And if I used chocks/locking cleats/line clutches upstream of the winch, I could use 1 winch for both halyards?

Halyards to cockpit.

"Also I would appreciate thoughts on running the halyards back to the cockpit." Why? Write down a list of reasons why you would want your halyards run aft to the cockpit. Just because all the new tupperware boats do it does not make it a good idea. Doesn't make it a bad idea either. I'd just like to hear your reasons. :)
