The unofficial O'Day web site has a copy of a 27 manual. It is different than my 1974 (it is a newer model), but has good information. Whah year is your boat? If you need a link to the above web site or want to talk boats, email me: jlcook@swbell.net
D&R Marine, in Massachusetts has O'Day parts, Manuals, and Rudy used to work there. I found he was even able to answer a few questions about my 1973 O'Day 22. They're listed in the 'Links' sections. Good Luck!
JimIn following the thread of your question, I wonder if you know that there is a difference between the O'Day 27 and the 272? I have tried a couple of times to get the folks here to list the 272 as a different model so I can get the specs listed, but it never seems to get placed so I can write. The 272 LE is a little bit different from the standard 272, but both are definitely different from the 27. Also, I found the D&R Marine site. Here's how to get there. Go to O'Day Links on the O'Day Owners site and click on it which takes you to the O'Day Sailboats Unofficial Website. Click on that and go to Parts and Accessories. You'll find Rudy and D&R Marine listed there.
Jim,I went back and discovered that you didn't ask all that I tried to answer. Sorry about that.Rick,Read the message I sent to Jim if you're still looking. I also just noticed the dates of your messages, and it may all be moot by this time. Oh, well...Tom Ehmke
