any body have either owners manual or service manual for a yanmar gm series 10 deisel engine in a 1980 hunter 27

Get Sealoc

IMHO your best bet is the Sealoc Yanmar manual (which covers various Yannie motors, including the 1GM). For amatuer mechanics its much better illustrated and easier to understand than the official Yanmar manual. You can get it at Boat/US or Amazon.com or other on-line seller. It's worth having.

Get both manuals, they're cheap enough

I have both Yanmar manuals and they each have good and bad points. The procedures for removal of valve covers is not very detailed in the non-Yanmar manual. The theory of operation is not covered at all in the Yanmar manual. I have found that using both, gives a complete coverage of every subsystem. Get the Yanmar manual from Mack Boring or any authorized parts dealer. Highly recommend the Engine City Tech classes.
