Does anyone have a complete copy of the owners manual for a 1988 Beneteau F285 or know where I can purchase one? Thanks.

try benetau site

I registered on the beneteau factory site and they have most of their manuals on line for various models.

Depending on what you're looking for

You might find most of the documentation you need on the various component manufacturer's web sites (especially if the component was not a standard one). I thought maybe I'd get some more detailed information from the Volvo web site than came with our boat - turned out to be exactly the same document... I have a couple of schematics and a nearly illegible copy of the deck layout (in French anyway), but those three or four pages are about all that I could not find, in pdf format, elsewhere on the internet.

Only technical specs

Sorry, I no longer had the complete version but only had the technical specs for the boat and rigging (size and lengths). Let me know if I can help.

I uploaded what I had onto the 285 section of the forum for technical specifications.

Thanks Mac

Thank you for the information. I am specifically looking for rigging information (mast rake and line tension). Also, we are still trying to find how to drain the shower in the head. We would appreciate any suggestions or knowledge. Thank you. Sara

check the 285 specs

Sara,
The uploaded specs should have some of the rigging information you're looking for if you're re-rigging the boat, but tension and rake won't be there. Regarding the shower, it drains to the bilge, at least mine did, so you need to have your bilge pump on when taking a shower. I've heard of others that have setup a pump and float swith in the pan of the shower and pump directly out rather than flood the bilge ( and it doesn't take much with that small bilge area.) Biggest headache I had was the windows leaking. I used to replace the barrel nuts and regasket every year. Finally went to calk and gasket which lasted me two years until I sold her.

Fun boat.. enjoy..
