I am interested in a yacht chartering vacation in the Australian Whitsundays, but dismayed at the huge cost. Is there a boat owner at Airlie Beach or nearby willing to discuss an exchange? I co-own a 1985 Hunter 34, in excellent shape. At this end we have great summer cruising in Gulf Islands, San Juans, Desolation Sound, etc.Is there a forum or website for this sort of thing?Reply roblesnie@hotmail.com

...is the world leader in house swaps. Check the web. Rarely are boats mentioned, but what you can is narrow the search to the places you want to go. Then if you when you get several bites, query them about boats they have or know of that might be for rent. We've used Holiday Home for 20 years, to great success.
