I've ben looking at oven options, too. The Force10 2 burner with
oven, on gimbles, looks really nice. Unfortunately it would require
radical modifications to the galley woodwork, and might not swing
enough even then ... not to mention the $1500 cost.

I like having a gimbled stove top as we quite often heat soup or boil
a kettle while underway. I'm not sure we'd use the oven underway, as
we don't go offshore.

Looking at alternatives I found a Coleman stove top folding oven that
looks interesting.

Has anyone had experience with this unit?

Another interesting find was in the WalMart Online catalog.

Now that looks really interesting! The price is right, and it appears
to be made of stainless steel. More research needed on this one.

I see that propane bottles are now being made from composite
materials. No more rusty steel bottles on the aft deck!

And you can see how much gas you have left in the tank.

I think I have to go sailing so I can think about all this :)

Hi Peter, We used the Force 10 with broiler. I'm not sure about the height difference and how it would relate to the woodworking. You would certainly loose storage underneath it.And the pivot angle would mean you would have to get into the difficult to access anyway bin behind the stove. We just build a couple of standoffs into the space under the stove to elevated it somewhat. It was a fairly simple project. Difficult to find on our side of the Atlantic but Plastimo makes a 2 burner with oven that would fit also. Saw one on a Ballard. I believe it was standard equipment. You're right about the price! I have a used Origo 3000 stove/oven unit. I do not have the
dimensions but you find them on the internet. I purchased it via E-
Bay several years ago with the intent of redoing the galley in
Putachieside. Still in storage as it is still on the "possible" to do
list.
