I need info on what prop to use on a 6hp evinrude fisherman for use with a sailboat. I am having trouble getting power in reverse, and also having trouble finding prop info for this old motor. Can anyone point me to a site or know which is the correct prop?

What you need is what is called a dual thrust prop. It has the same power in reverse as in forward. I have one on my 9.9 yamaha and I love it. I dont even have to rev the engine when backing in the slip.

Is there such a prop for evinrude?

I am not able to find any such prop for evinrude 1973 6hp with google search.
