I just installed a 5 hp 4 stroke on my hunter 22. mortor bracket and it seems to fit and work ok, but the mount is a little wobbly, It seems that the nylon spacer washers are worn and that make the mount even more wobbly. does anyone have experience in refurbishing one successfuly. It does not seem difficult to do. I know new washers are available, Thanks Jim

Motor Mount

Years ago I had a 25ft C&C with a wobbly and tired ob motor mount. I tried to refurbish it, but it was always a problem. I finally replaced the mount with a new Garelick mount and it was a blessing. Not only did the new mount work better, the new springs made raising the ob a one-finger task. Get a new mount, your back will love you for it.
