Good morning,
I am still struggling with the outboard/inboard issue. I know
that eventually I will want an inboard. However, I have a 1980's
model 15hp Evinrude sitting my garage. One of my options is
temporarily installing this outboard until I can afford the Beta.
This option will get the boat in the water much sooner. I am familiar
with the issues of the prop coming out of the water or the engine
getting dunked in rough conditions. What I am not sure of is the
diffuculty in sealing the hull. For permanent outboard installation I
would probably do a very thorough fiberglass filler/cloth. Does
anyone have a solution for temporarily sealing the hull where the
engine shaft comes through.
Thanks,
Rob
