Merit 22- Oregon lakes
Early last summer I had the opportunity to pick up a 15' runabout pretty cheep. it needed a bit of work, but I figured maybe we would use it for fishing or just putting around the lake in the winter months. I fixed it up and used it one time, late last fall. I had a nice carport to put it under, but it just sat there and gathered dust.

meanwile,.... all winter long I was also looking at our poor Merit out under the trees with a blue tarp over it, so last week I couldn't take it anymore and put the Larson on CL with a fairly high price and very low expectations. but within an hour of posting the add I had three inquires, the first in line came over and gleefully handed me cash for it . perhaps folks are looking to buy now, thinking there might be some bargains out there with so many out of work??? I was quite shocked, but also quite happy, to say the least. I made decent money on the deal and the new owner was thrilled also, so a win win.

with the Larson out of the carport, I picked up some cinder blocks and used them to raise the carport up 8", so the Merit can have a more comfortable home. I think it's much happier there, without that ugly blue tarp over it, and I know I'm much happier having it under a better cover.

Haha. ya.... we've always called the rock structure the "gnome home" also. built back in the 50s and contains the properties original water well, which is basically dry now. but we kept the enclosure so the gnomes wouldn't have to find a new place to live. they seem to like it here also. I had a new well drilled 20 years or so ago for our own water needs.
