Just got a copy of Sailing Life in the mail and while looking it over in the reading room saw a picture of a Hunter on the last page. Turns out it is a picture of "AKERS AWAY" our very own Paul Akers Ledgend 37. Looking good Paul. Haven't seen you this year but did see 2 340's on Sunday on the bay. Russell

Did everyone miss the May "Sailing" mag?
My trouble-wrought journey along the Erie canal was featured for all to see (and learn from). After running out of diesel TWICE on my trip last season ... just last week I actually found the fuel guage! The previous owner installed the propane locker in the way of the tank ... oh well.

I read the Erie Canal article and did not make the connection. We have been planning the trip for next May and read everything we can find about the canal. It will be the one time I wish my mast was not keel-stepped.

I received the May/June issue of SL a couple month's ago and saw the section to submit the picture. I thought I'd try it. I submitted a pic that was taken last summer while I was in a flotilla cruising the coast of Maine. I received an email about 2 weeks ago announcing that it would be in the next issue. They are supposed to send me a copy. Sailing life (www.sailinglife.com) is primarily distributed via mail. So buying copies is difficult. Thanks for the encouraging words.
