Origo Cooker

Hi all,

I have another question: My Vega came with a Origo "Cook-pal"
stove which runs on alcohol. Unfortunately, the description I got
is only in Swedish. Does anybody have an English manual (or can
point me to one)?

The problem I'm having is how to fill the burners/fuel containers
with alcohol without spilling all over (and how to get enough in there
to cook a coffee or a pot of noodles with). Usually the stuff is dripping
all over, and today I nearly set the boat on fire with excess alcohol.

Maybe I need new burners - does anybody have a lead where to obtain
them?

Thanks - Sebastian (1060 VegaLyra)

The origo uses Meths or Denaturlised alchol.

You take the burner modules out, turn them on their side then fill them. I
had the same problem when sailing a Vega back from Holland and set light to
the cooker as the person who filled the burner did it from the top and it
spilled out.

Hope this helps.
