I am emersed in repairing a c-25 that suffered an interior fire. It consumed most everything, but didn't seriously damage the hull or exterior topsides. My problem is that never having seen a c-25, and having mostly charred chunks to go by, it's difficult to resurrect many pieces, much less the interior plan. I'm looking for some poor craft that has suffered some catastrophic tragedy(like a hurricane) and would like to see some parts live on in another boat. Things like windows, hatches, bulkheads, trim, etc. are sorely needed.

you might wanna check on the glass

High heat, the kind fires are made of, tend to destroy fiberglass. it can look ok from a visual but the resin can burn leaving only the glass fiber and little strength. The water will seep right through it or the keel could fall off. If the fire did that much damage to the interior it must have burned very hot. I would not put in all the cosmedic fixes until you know the hull is sound or all your hard work, and maybe your family, could end up at the bottom of Lake mistake. I dont want to be a downer but thought you should consider these things )

Wait a few days . . .

Then you will probably have some folks on the gulf coast with salvage boats :). In all seriousness. What in the world possesses you to attempt to bring this boat back to life? I would think that the fiberglass is a gonner in some areas. You can probably buy this boat in reasonably good condition for what it will cost you to re-fit the charcoal brickette. Regards, Ted
