Ordered a new main sail today

OK.... I don't see it. Yours must be much smaller than mine.

But on a serious note... if you look at the folded up pic, you can easily see the reef clew.

I am beginning to think Russ is pulling your leg RG.
A single reef just above the 1st batten. Grommet on the leach.. 3 lines to gather the sail (look to be 1/4") and a reinforced grommet on the luff.
All look well made. I suspect the sail will serve your boat well.

Funny you should phrase it like that - when I took my old main in, Gary and another guy took a tool that reminded me of a firing pin from an M-16 and poked a hole in the old Dacron and looked at each other and said "Yeah, that's pretty crunchy."

Friday afternoon I got to go sailing with my new main. WOW what a difference. It is fair to say that all of my anxiety over sail trim for the main is gone. I'd still like to find a way to move the genoa block more outboard when on a reach but it is a minor thing now
