Option for replacing kerosene stove

When we purchased our 1980 Hunter Cherubini last fall we did so knowing that the kerosene stove was not working. Rather than trying to fix it or purchasing a new one, we're looking at possibly replacing it with a counter-top convection oven toaster one of which is a Kitchenaid. We're wondering if this is a good, viable option or if there is a good valid reason for not doing so. A clerk in the store where we were looking at this product said it was far better than the Cuisinarts. The Kitchenaid's are insulated whereas the Cuisinarts are not and because of this there is a good potential for fires which obviously nobody wants. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I don't have experience with either one but I do like the Kitchenaid. I examined one at costco and thought it to be well built.. but it will only work on shore power or a generator. It pulls 1440 watts .. over 140 amperes at 12 volts if powering by inverter.. Batteries would be dead before the biscuits are done.

EDIT: Welcome to the group.. Lots of great info here ..Great to have yall aboard !
