Hi Guys,
I just bought a 1994 Hunter 19. I downloaded the manual from this web site (thank you), but found no reference to max engine size and recommended shaft length. Any prior experienced H 19 users would be appreciated. Thanks...

a 5 hp would be well suited if you plan on sailing in the atlantic besides inland lakes. I introduced this boat for Hunter and the decision to cut production was my decision.

As Dave said, a 5hp would work well. Maybe a tad heavy but that is a drawback to 4 strokes. Choose a Long Shaft and the prop will stay in the water better.
