Please post opinions of your system. How does it perform? If it died what would you replace it with? Thanks, Pat McCartin 1979 H30 "Therapy" Lake Lanier, GA

Not sure what you are. . . . .

asking about. Do you plan to install a Norcold and want testimonials? There are a few on the Norcold website. Which model? I do not see a conversion unit for an icebox on their website. My used boat came with refrigeration in the icebox but it's 110v AC and not very efficient through the inverter. It also has a an AC only Norcold where the oven use to be. Also not very efficient away from shorepower. I have studied many systems but continue to use block ice while trying to decide upon this expensive upgrade. My inclination is to take advantage of the Sailnet sale on Adler/Barbour with free shipping. Here are some other options for consideration: http://www.askelandinc.com/ http://www.supercool.se/ http://www.frigoboat.com/ Wish I could be more help.

Conversion kit

I've been using a Norcolder icebox conversion kit for several years now, no problems to report. At the time, this was the only unit I could find within my budget that would run on both 110V and 12V. It automatically switches over when you plug in the shore power. Maybe one problem: sooner or later you'll freeze a beer, split a can open, and make a mess. I was forced to switch to bottled beer.
