I am in the market for a folding prop (three blade) and I wanted to get the general "opinion" of which one is better. Any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

Seahawk Feathering Prop

We just purchased an autostream by Seahawk. The reasons we picked this were,1, it is 100 % St. St. 2, it was less costly than the MaX, AND 3, it is very easy to change the pitch. I made 3 adjustments in (2) hrs including sea trials for each adjustment. So far, we like it a lot. We are motoring slightly faster than with the original prop and definitely sailling faster. We purchased it from H & H Propeller, 800-325-0117. No sales tax was charged. This is installed on our Hunter 420. Mike Busher mjbusher@aol.com

MaxProp for me

Had the two-blader for five years and love it. One unintended benefit is terrific thrust in reverse.

Autoprop

The 37.5 that I bought has a three blade Autoprop and it is probably one of the best improvements I have seen on a boat. I have more power in both forward and reverse, very little prop walk and incredible braking which is important since I am on the river. I included the web site. http://www.autoprop.com/autoprop/international/index.html

Autoprop

We have a 3-blade autoprop which is very simple to adjust in the water. I hear good things about maxprops. 3 vs. 2 blades, 3 is said to have less vibration.

AUTOSTREAM

This is the second boat that I owned With Autostream Prop and I know of others with Brass props that get stuck or don't fold or feather. Also all stainless steel will have less electroliss(can't spell. Autostream is very good and they respond when you have questions. Good Luck.
