I am looking to add a Kenyon Express "Butane" stove on my 1986 31'. Looking for input/ opinions of this product. I currently have an Origo 2 burner Alcohol stovetop and a Microwave oven(110v). My wife and I just can not get passed cooking w/alcohol.

Why Alan?

What is the problem with cooking with alcohol? Just curious about your need to change since we don't have much experience with our alcohol Origo. Do you have the non-pressurized?

Keep the alcohol

The alcohol is safer and is hot. Our stove will boil water (under 4 min.) faster than my home electric stove. Yes, I timed it! Sometimes it's to cold to sail and I was bored. Plus the cup-o-soup I made with the boiling water was great.

What can't you get past?

Alan: What is the problem that you cannot get past? We have used one of these little Butane stoves before and had a problem where the bottle/can was not properly locked in. The butane spewed all over the picnic table. All I can say is I am VERY happy it was not aboard MY boat. I realize that this is not the norm, but it did happen and it is still quite vivid in my mind. So I'd say pick your poison.
