Has anyone had the problem with the overhead opening lights? When dogged down, I can lift them all by about 1/8" - its as if the "rubber seating gasket" has flattened off. This stuff seems to be an easy push fit in the frame - has anyone replaced the stuff? They don't leak in vertical Florida thunderstorms but taking a wave on the deck or coachroof may cause ingress. Same problem with the forehatch. They are all a similar design - the opening part is basically an unframed piece of plexiglass. Some of the struts are a bit wobbly too.

Patrick, if the hatch seals on your boat are like.

on ours, and depending on age, most marine stores carry gasket replacement kits. Mine are still okay, but I have had to re-glue in places. It is just a matter of pulling up the old, clean the bed and the new stuff I've seen is self-adhering. Terry

Replaced My Gaskets

The rubber gaskets on my 30T (1991) have all been replaced and no longer leak. I suspected they deteriorated because the boat was originally in Lake Mead where the intense Nevada sun made the gaskets hard and compressed. I obtained new gasket material from Hunter and it is simple to remove and replace the old gaskets.
