Opened up the sailbag

We got most of the rigging issues taken care of and got the mainsail out of the bag this morning. We fed it on the boom and mast and worked out the clew lines including the reef line. The previous owner had them reversed from the owners manual but it won't make a difference. I was disappointed to find that I have no sail number! I have never had a boat without a sail number. My dock neighbor said that he thinks that they are now an option. I have lived too long. It does read,"H-240."
I unpacked the jib and it looks good. It has been just to hot to spend more than an hour at the lake. If it just cools down a little we will take her out this coming week.

Glad to hear you are getting ready for sailing!! Regarding mainsail numbers, few of my sailboats ever came with them and all my new sails did not have them......they were an extra for the PO and an easy remedy.

My H356 didn't have a sail # on it - just H356. So when registering for races I had to use that. No problem with local fleets or even Off Soundings events.

I ordered nice big numbers from Sailrite and stuck them on my H356 sails. Still sticking well several years later. I used the hull number.
