Onan 8kw not pulling raw water through P42

Checked the strainer and made sure water was coming up thru hull.

Took intake hose off just as it enters impeller. Poured water down tube - did not back up so must be going out the bottom.

Started and looked inside entry to impeller. Impeller spinning.

What else should I be checking?

Connection of hose to pump must be absolutely air tight.. Pump cover gasket must be air tight and thin enough that the impeller lightly touches the cover and the back of the case.. Outlet hose must be free of blockage through the exchanger and exhaust elbow.

It was working fine a month ago. Could the impeller be an issue?

Will check hoses and exhaust see if there is a blockage.

Check that the cover is nice and flat. Also pull output hose and see if is obstructed by blowing on it (yumm)
